The MISSION of the Phoenix Foundation is to make freely available to all -- researchers, medical   professionals    and laypersons  alike   --  all  the information required to wage war on and ultimately defeat every  disease  which afflicts mankind.    Our first weapon to use in this war is a  virtual medical library available via      " www.bioport.org".   Through its  portals  we hope to  provide  access  to  every facility on the Internet that is engaged in this struggle.  The ultimate  goal   is  to create  a searchable database of all life sciences data available on the web and provide a direct link to that information.  

The  Foundation will actively seek out and publish research papers  not  now  accessible  on the web.   By making one library  a complete reference source, researchers will have available  the tools needed to make  rapid  advances  on all medical fronts.

     The Phoenix Foundation's Library  will  provide on-line meeting  rooms  and  bulletin boards for any group wishing to man a "Command Center" to combat a  specific disease. These War Rooms will serve as central clearing houses for researchers  wishing to share data.
